Report of Pellet Plant Commissioning In South Africa
In October of year 2014, two technicians from SIMEC were in South Africa and worked on the project commissioning and operation training.
This pellet plant consists of disc chipper, hammer mill, rotary dryer, two sets of SPM350 pelletizers, pellet cooler, semi automatic bagging machine and jumble bag packing device. It was delivered in June of this year.
The investor has the ability to install the machinery himself, so we sent commissioning team after installation.
The pellet plant is running successfully now. The operation education on local staff just took three days. And the staff can operate and maintain the machinery themselves.
The wood pellets are made of pinewood material. The products are sold to local customers.
In South Africa, bio-energy market is now developing very fast. More and more people prefer wood pellets instead of fossil fuel for wood pellets are cheaper and more eco-friendly.
