SIMEC continuous rotary torrefaction equipment is one of our innovated products. It can torrefy almost all kinds of wood and biomass raw material. Unlike the batch processing, our equipment can produce the torrefaction products continuously. All of the flue gas generated during the torrefaction can be recycled as the clean bio-gas, which can be used as the heating biofuel for the torrefaction reactor and the raw material dyer, boilers, etc. So it is almost zero waste gas emission.


The biomass raw material will be preheated in the inner layer of the rotary drum, where the raw material can be dried. In the outer layer of the drum, the raw material is torrefied evenly and continuously. The final products are cooled down to the room temperature by the water cooling system installed on the screw discharger.

  The whole torrefaction equipment just consume less than 20 KW power when it is in normal operation. The flue gas generated by pyrolysis reaction is recycled as heating biofuel for the torrefaction reactor.

Advantages of the Torrefaction Biomass:
Comparing with the un-torrefied raw materials, the torrefied products has higher calorific value and lower emissions during combustion. The torrefaction products are mainly used as solid fuel to provide high efficient heating source with less pollution.
 
The following testing video is taken in our workshop in the early March this year. We tested the sawdust for one of our customer, who was willing to produce torrefied pellets. We can test various kinds of raw material upon our customers’ requirements. We warmly welcome you to visit us in China.
