Shanxi Sunny Power Plant adopts fluid bed boiler.The fuel is coal sludge,middings coal,coal gangue.The combustion temperature inside furnace is lower.Desulfuration device is adopted inside furnace.So the SO2 emmission is reduced a lot.

Before they add wet coal sludge into the furnace at the percentage 50%.This is already the maximum percentage.If to add more,the coal sludge pump system will be over loaded.And the boiler heating surface will be worned more fast. Wet coal sludge is not very suitable to be burned directly inside the steam boiler.

To solve this problem,in 2011,Sunny Power Plant installed an unit of coal sludge dryer;its capacity is 300,000 tons per year.The dryer adopts 41.8 billion J/H coal gasifier combustion furnace as heat source.The moisture content of coal sludge will be 12% after drying process.Dry coal sludge’s combustion efficiency is much higher and it will provide more heat for the power plant.The benefit of the power plant increase a lot after they burn dry coal sludge.Meanwhile,the utilization of coal sludge decrease the pollutions.

There are various kinds of heat source for coal sludge dryer,such as manual furnace,coal gasifier and burning furnace.The investment on manual furnace is the lowest;but the combustion efficiency of coal gasifier and burning furnace is the best.Depending on investors’ real operation requirements,it is very important to choose the suitable hear source for coal sludge dryer.
