The oil palm tree is about 7~13 meters  in height and 45~65 centimeters in diameter, measuring 1.5 meters above the ground level. Based on an incomplete statistics, the planted acreage of oil palm was 4.74 million ha in Malaysia and it’s 4.5 million ha in Indonesia.

Every year, the oil palm industry generates massive quantities of oil palm biomass such as oil palm trunk(OPT), oil palm frond (OPF) and oil palm empty fruit bunch (EFB). The OPF and OPT is generated from oil palm plantation.
